I have the ability to locate quite a few mechanical parts for American made vehicles fron the 1900`s to present. Some are OEM and some are aftermarket. This would include engine, brake and chassis parts. Body parts and trim are VERY difficult to find but you may inquire.
If you need assistance in repair, I have illustrated books for major American manufacturers that show some illustrations BEFORE 1974. If needed, I can supply repair manuals for your specific vehicle.

Question QUESTION: I'm trying to find a replacement for the pressed in heater hose fitting that on the water pump. Mine rusted thru and started leaking. The water pump still works fine so I pulled what remained of the fitting out of the pump. Since these are replaced when a pump is rebuilt, I know there can be obtain. Do you know where I can obtain one? Thanks

All I can give you is speculation and part numbers since I have no idea what size engine you are working on. I have no idea what size the hole is in your water pump and I have no idea what size hose attaches to it so here is my list of options:
IF you have a 300 six cylinder, all you can do is engineer a setup as that fitting is only available with the pump. I don't think Ford even offers a fitting, it only comes with the pump. I have an addendum**. See the next to the last paragraph. Here is a list of what is available in the aftermarket:

These are ALL straight fittings that can be inserted into a hole. I would recommend using a sealant/epoxy on the repair and be sure to have the hole in the water pump EXTREMELY CLEAN and void of antifreeze.
IF you need to make bends in a heater hose, Gates just came out with a new product. While I'm the Wholesale Manager at a local parts store, my library is for antique parts. I have no literature her yet. I think the Gates product is called a Uni-Coil. It is a spring looking thing that slips over a straight heater hose and allows you to make bends in the hose without crimping the hose. It is really a neat deal. You might look into this if you have to make some severe bends in your heater hose to route it away from belts and other obstacles.
**IF you have a 300 straight 6, you might try calling A-1 Cardone at 1-215-912-3700 or their web site www.cardone.com. They may sell you that tube for the pump, I don't know...

Tell me what size the fitting needs to be. I can get it for you but we will have to get out of this venue to make a sale. We are talking about $6.00 or less. Probably less. There would be a couple of bucks freight.
WAIT... What brand does your local parts store carry? I can just look it up in their brand and give you their part number. For crying out loud, this isn't rocket science. If you are dealing with idiots at your parts store, just let me give you the part number and you can order it from them..
