Question
I am looking for computer chip or chips for a 1992 s-10 pickup 2.8, 6 cylinder.  I purchased  a rebuilt computer  from Adavance auto and did not know to remove the chips from the core.  I cannot find the chips.  Please help.

  To all who have questions pending with me, I'm sorry. My Mother fell last Monday and broke her pelvis. As you can imagine, it has been a hell of a week. She is 84. That is why it is taking me so long to respond. Mom comes first and I hope you understand. Now to your question.
 Is this chip no longer available from G.M.? IF it ISN'T, when you call your local G.M. Dealer, get me the OEM (G.M.) part number and I may be able to find one for you. IF it is totally gone, you might try contacting:
www.Hypertech.com.
  They may have a performance chip that would get you down the road.
  Advance carries A-1 Cardone. Why can't you just call them at 215-912-300 and ask them to keep an eye out for your "core" that has your chip in it and ask them to send it back to you? You should have purchased a 77-8062. WHY didn't those idiots at Advance tell you you had to switch the chip?? Can't Advance get your core back?? They are "Ready in Advance" but they just don't know what for.
  Let me know if you need for me to try to find an Original G.M. Chip. Be sure to give me the OEM number from G.M.. Good luck..
