Question what is idle oil pressure and running pressure
Answer Actually, it's quite simple, and is as it sounds. Idle Oil Pressure, is the pressure your Oil Pressure Gauge should be reading, with the Engine in Neutral, and the engine at a fully warmed up idle. Running pressure, is the pressure your Oil Pressure Gauge should read at anything generally above idle, up to and including highway driving speeds. For example, at idle, on a fully warmed up engine, my 1960 Plymouth's 225 Slant-Six, runs around 20 P.S.I., and at anything above idle while driving, it generally runs around 50-60 P.S.I.
