Question I have to do a engine rebuild on the vehicle. I replaced my main bearings. Now I read online that I shouldn't have put assembly lube behind the bearing inserts.
I was searching if it would really through off the plastigage reading having grease already on when I got enlightened about above. Is it really that necessary for there not to be grease behind the bearing? Why? and also will it through my plastigage reading off that much having lube on the uppers when I check?
Thanks, Robert
