Question
My 1994 honda accord while driving 45 mph the speedodometer goes to zero and the abs light flickers. When I pulled into the garage the car is running fine, turn it off and try to restart, the engine starts and dies right away did this several times then started right up. Went 3 weeks with no problem, the did the same thing again. Need help

Thanks

Answer
The problems may not be related as it sounds like 3 different issuesThe speedometer is the speed sensor, the ABS is the sensor on the hub and the engine cutting out could be a vacuum leak or EGR problem.I cannot say for sure which unless you have it diagnosed are there are many components that will cause the engine to quit.I would need more information such as ,fuel pressure read out,EGR system check, idle control tested, vacuum hoses inspected for cracks or broken.Vacuum test on the engine. If it is a major problem, the check engine light will come on.
