Question
I went through the manual and there is no reference to removal of the air filter. The question is ... where specifically is the air filter on the es300 (2002 model) and do I need anything special to get to it and replace it?

The filter is listed so it does have one.It is usually at the end of the big rubber hose that goes to your intake manifold.On this car possibly near the inner fender on the drivers side.You shouldnt need any special tools.It will look like a largebox type usually plastic.
