Question
I would like to know if a Nissan Maxima with 190,000 miles is a good buy.  The person is selling for 3000(negotiable) and has said there are no issues with the car.  It's a '97 and just a car for my husband to get to work in and pick up the baby.

Answer
Thats a lot of miles but if the car has been maintained, oil changes and transmission serviced often as required, its probably ok.Best to have a mechanic look at it before you buy it.Nissan are not great for lasting this far,if it was a Honda or Toyota, thats different as these cars can go for 400k,,,,,,i have 210k on my own Toyota. Its still running great although i did rebuild the head and replace the clutch.Personally i wouldnt buy this car,its a bit pricy.
