Question i put a transmission in my dodge dakota and now it backfires and runs very ruff it will quit when you put it in reverse what could the problem be
Answer Since your Dakota is Computer controlled, I would suggest getting a Code Reader, and seeing if there are any stored Codes that would give you a hint as to what is going on. Other than that, I'd recheck any Sensor hook-ups to the Transmission for pinched wires.
