Question I have a Camaro with a 3800 Series II (V6, 3.8L.) engine it sounds like an aluminum banging sound. The car is marking low oil. can it be fixed with a oil change or is it something else
Answer try running 20/50 oil and see if that helps
those engines are common for lifter failure..
if it still runs good and has safe oil pressure it will not harm anything..
