Question I am restoring a 71 firebird that sat for 9 years until now. When I drive it for more than 15 minutes it will not shift into 3rd gear. I have not changed the oil yet but I have been told it would need major work. Any suggestions?
Answer Before you do any major repairs..
change your AT fluid and filter.
also replace the vacuum module on the trans.it will help the shifting..
