Question Im installing a new clutch in my truck and have ran into a snag.
Can you replace the clutch master cylinder to slave cylinder hydraulic line for a 1990 f-150 5 speed transmission without replacing the master cylinder? Having a tough time removing it from the disconnect at the slave cylinder so I need to replace the whole line. I damaged the line pretty bad.
Answer There is a special tool for removing the line its a clutch line coupling tool.If you search around you will be able to get it at the parts store. The line should come off easily and you shouldnt really have any trouble if you use this tool at the master cylinder.Tool #T88T
general auto repair, japanese, bmw, mercedes, mini cooper 1960/2009,general british cars, ford.I DO NOT work on automatic transmissions.Manual transissions i install clutches only. Many people ask me to diagnose noises from their cars, unfortunately i cannot do this unless i hear it.As you appreciate, vehicles can and will make a variety of noises.I DONT UPGRADE or fit aftermarket performace kits, parts, chips, only replacement parts.
