my car seems to be fine until i start the car the alternator and the battery are both new but when the car is running the car seems to have a slow drain of about .01 volts every few seconds and it is upsettingbecause the car doesn't seem to charge only discharge.

If the alternator is not putting out 13 volts or higher then its faulty.Usual drain is .02 which is normal for when the car is switched off,this is because of clock,computor,or other acessories such as radio etc.I need to know what model of car you have to test the system for drain.Try looking in the trunk or under the hood at night to see if there is a light staying on before you do anything.
