Automotive/volksvagen passat

Question
My passat has a curious problem.  The drivers door switches do not work and neither the wingmirrors. We had a multiple electric problem as the interior light failed and the passenger window would not work.  The lights and passenger window worked after the comfort control box was located and several broken wires repaired, but no joy with the drivers door.  Any ideas.  Thank you

Answer
How did the wires become broken? If all was repaired then look at your fuses. This car has a strange wiring system as i have seen if you hold the key in open position,it will roll all the windows down.I have never seen this on any other vehicle. Its possibly in the wiring somewhere or fuse box as to exactly where,i would be guessing. So,get a wiring diagram and trace all the wiring related to the door locks. It may be simply a bad door control panel.I would remove the door switches and check for 12 volts going to the switch,if you have power to the switch but not from it,its a faulty switch.Look at the fuses first before taking it apart.
