Question I've had this van sitting for years, and I usually start it spring and fall, but lately it's only starting when I add gas into the carb, it will idle for awhile after that, like a couple of minutes so it's getting some fuel from the tank. I also took the line off carb and checked the inline filter and it's fine, and it flowed gas when I cranked so I'm thinking the problem is in the carb but would like a second opinion. Thanks.
Answer If the gasoline is the least bit old, it could be stale. Most gasoline does not keep very well these days, due to a number of factors, including it's high alcohol content, so I'd try dropping and draining the Gas Tank, then reinstall it, put fresh gasoline in it, and see if your stalling problem goes away.
