Question
I installed a new ignition lock assembly in my car. It turns over fine but won't start. The security light comes on and blinks even with the key off. I put the old part back in and it does the same thing. How can I make this thing run again?

Answer
If you had the battery disconnected then its possible the anti theft system is engaged. You will find how to reset it in your handbook. If you cannot restart it,i would go to the dealer as each car is different and you can try locking all the doors with the key then opening them, with the key. Some cars have a disarm button but you need to know where it is,usually under the dash.
