Automotive - 94 Altima Stalling

Expert: Sean Halliday - 9/9/2008

Question
Hi I have a 1994 Nissan Altima that stalls out of no where when running for about 25 minutes. When it stalls and I try to turn it back on it just sounds like it ran out of gas. I already checked to see if fuel is being delivered when it is stalled and the pump seems ok it delivers the fuel good. I already also changed the ignition coil and also the distributor cap and rotor. I have also checked the distributor to see if it leaks oil and it doesnt. I was wondering if you could help me solve this problem.

Answer
Possible causes of stalling are.MAP sensor,MAF sensor, idle air control solenoid, incorrect fuel pressure, fuel pressure regulator, pcv valve blocked, vacuum leak at the hoses or intake manifold.Egr valve or modulator,so there are many things to check and if you are not familiar how to check these, best to have a shop look at it.
