Automotive - Reset PGM-Fi light

Question Hi! I bought a 1987 Honda Accord lxi and have done a lot of work on it. I replaced almost everything under the hood, including belts and hoses. When I first bought it and drove it home, after about 4 or 5 minutes of driving the PGM-Fi light on the dash came on. I did a google search and sifted through the answers until I saw that it meant the oxygen sensor was bad. I replaced that, but the light comes on as before. I read on some sites to disconnect the battery, and that would reset the light. I disconnected the battery over night. It didn't work. I don't want to be ripped off by the dealer who told me It would cost $130 to do it. Is there something else I can do to rectify this problem? Thanks.

Answer Which make of sensor did you replace the original one with?Aftermarket will not work on this car and only Honda O2 sensors will be ok.The aftermarket sensor will cause the mixture to run lean and hence the light will signal a wrong mix.If you go to Google and type in PGM-fi light ,there is a site which will explain all.
