Question hi there the problem i have got with my s reg Chrysler voyager is when i come to start it the starter motor just spins round and does not turn the engine over until about the 15th attempt and then it starts i have had the starter motor replaced but still have the same problem and the other thing that has just started to happen is when i use the key to open the door it just locks it self straight away until i open the door and when i have been driving for about 2 minuets all doors lock
Answer It is possible you got a defective Starter, and the Bendix Drive (the part that kicks the Starter Gear out to engage the Flywheel Ring Gear) is not working. If there is a warranty on the Starter, then I'd bring it back, and have the Shop exchange the defective Starter for a new one.
The Lock problem could either be a stuck Switch that is energizing the Lock Solenoid, or a wire going to the Lock Solenoid is grounding out intermittently.
