Question Hoping you can help me on this. I have a 1997 Chevy Blazer 4X4 with a 4.3 in it. A week or so ago I got in it and a few seconds after taking off it started missing real bad. This lasted for a few minutes then cleared up. It had been raining at this time. It has been fine until now. Last night when leaving it was raining. I went a few miles down the road and it starts to miss again. It did not clear up this time. I stopped and the engine died. It would attempt to start but would not. Finally after trying it started and ran enough to get me home. This morning I tried to start, and it will not. It will attempt, but not start. Any ideas? Could it be moisture getting in something? Thanks for any help!
Answer You need to find out if it is fuel or ignition.Test fuel pressure with proper pressure tester for fuel injection and then we can go from there. This engine is complex and has many components that will cause no start problems so its a matter of elimination of each one.
