Automotive - Fuse?

Expert: Sean Halliday - 10/17/2009

Question
Last week, My 2002 Saturn SC2 (3 dr coupe) had several problems ALL appear AT ONCE.
I'm already familiar with the idea that Saturns are prone to electrical problems (this is my second one), and due to the nature of the problem here, I think this is no exception to the idea!
My interior light, power mirrors, and power door locks quit working overnight, at the same time.

I had the basic fuses (that can be found inside the car, behind a panel) checked and the guy who checked said he didn't find a problem.
I can't be sure he's that competent though. He's just a friend.
I also have fuses that can only be reached if the dash is removed and from under the hood. I don't know what fuses are where?!?!
Could you possibly offer some help?

Answer
Your handbook will list all the fuses you need to check. The key will be on the covers. From what you say, this could be a relay problem,so it may be you will have to go to the dealer or shop. Before you do,look at the relay for the central locking and swop it with a similar relay to test, make sure they are exactly the same. All modern cars use relays which are interchangeable.
