Question
I just bought a 1997 Ford Taurus with 126,000 miles. It runs well though there is a slight studder in the engine when warming up, perhaps new plugs are needed. The car started just fine when the weather was warm but with temps in the 50's all night it has become difficult to start and requires prolonged cranking in the morning. I somehow feel that fuel isn't getting to the cylinders under these conditions because once the engine is warm it runs and starts fine thereafter. Any suggestions??

Answer
You could look at the plugs and also clean the MAF sensor, thats the large sensor between the intake and filter.Change the fuel filter as well. With the high miles its possibly losing some compression but new plugs will help a lot.Check all vacuum hoses and change the air filter,in short a basic tune up.
