Automotive - vacuum diagram for 66 ford thunderbird 390 engine

Expert: Ben Deutschman - 11/1/2009

Question
where can i get a diagram for vacuum lines for a 66 thunderbird with a 390 engine? I get flames shooting out of the carburetor, it is timed and has new plugs and wires.

Answer
If you can get a Chiton's or Haynes Manual for your car, that should have the Vacuum Hose Diagram in it. Also, those books would have the 'Firing Order' diagrams in them for the Plug Wires. All it takes is one misplaced Plug Wire to cause the problem you're experiencing.

You can try www.books4cars.com, http://www.gearheadcafe.com/, http://www.hemmings.com, for the books, or CD Manuals for your car.
