Question
I have two basic questions.
1. What are the basic installation instructions for a brake install on a 2006 Toyota corolla?
2. Do you have to bleed the brakes after install of new pads?

Answer
Front pads i assume? You do not need to bleed the brakes after fitting new pads unless you have opened the hydraulic system. The fitting for front is simple, remove the calipers, after you have jacked up the front end, removed the wheels.Take out the old pads and compress the pistons and dont forget to remove the reservoir cap on the brake master cylinder. To compress the pistons on the calipers i use a c clamp.Use one of the old pads as a ram and they will retract ok.Fit the new pads and replace the calipers. The calipers on this car are held on by 2 metric size 13mm or 12mm.
