Question
i have a 1994 buick lesabre and when i go to stop the petal goes to the floor and the car takes off. and the brake light stays on. so i checked for leaks but their are none so what can the problem be?

Answer
The Master Cylinder is probably shot, which would explain the 'Brake System Warning Light' coming on. The only cure, a new Master Cylinder. Oh, and a Master Cylinder does not have to leak externally in order to have failed. If the internal seals are sufficiently worn, they can no longer build pressure, and the fluid simply passes by the Piston, that is activated by pressing on the Brake Pedal.
