Automotive/Audi TT

Question
Not sure if you can help, but you were the only person it gave me to ask.  I have a 02 Audi TT and the cooling fans are not turning on.  The car obviously overheats, I have checked the coolant, and changed the coolant temperature sensor, I don't know what to do now since the Bentley manual I bought doesn't tell you how to diagnose the fans only how to change and/or disassemble.  Any help would be great.

Thanks for your time,
Tiana

Answer
There will be a relay also so you will need to check that.If you can hook up 2 wires from the battery, unplug the fans and test them first by "hot wiring"them to the 2 wires to make sure they work. Its unlikely the fans are faulty but check anyway.Look at your manual for the fan relay and try changing that.Does either fan come on when you turn on the a/c?
