Question
I was driving home and all of a sudden the coolant service light came on. My car didn't overheat, and I was only 5 minutes from home.  What could be the reason that my coolant service light came on? The temperature is frigid today, only up to 20 degrees, could that have anything to do with it?  Wouldn't the car overheat if there was an antifreeze leak? I just replace the Water Pump not to long ago. Please Advise.

Answer
Assuming you have plenty of coolant in the radiator, then the sensor may be faulty.Check the radiator as well as the overflow tank.If the water pump was replaced, the coolant may be low and need topped up.Have it looked at as you do not want to overheat this engine.Very expensive fix.
