QUESTION: My girlfriend has a 99 Galant. When the fuel level gets down to about 1/4 tank, it begins to run sluggish and the check eengine light illuminates. When the tank is full, it runs okay. Please don't say keep the tank full ;) Thanks!
ANSWER: Does the check engine light stay on or go off?If it is on,have the codes scanned.

When the car starts to do the poor running,scan the code and it will tell you where to look as there are many causes for this.There are many components also to check and the check engine light will save you buying parts you dont need.If you get the code let me know.Autozone or kragen will read the code for free.
