Question
Can you tell me where the PVC Valve is? perhaps a description of it so I can find it.  It has been suggested that this may be clogged and has caused the current problem.

My problem:  Car was going up hill and lost power, not as in electrical power but piston power.  We pulled over immediately and the car in home in the driveway.  What we have found is a whole lot of greasy gunk spewed into the air filter and only a trace of oil on the stick.

What I've done so far is: take the air filter lid off and spray some carburetor cleaner into the carburetor then added some oil to the case.  I tried to start it.  It sounds like it might start but after cranking it for about 15 seconds all I get is a little thump.  The exhaust was whitish.

Answer
How many miles are on this car?Did you try a compression test across the cylinders?I think its more than a pcv valve problem.Sounds more like blow pass, which from what you describe the engine has had it and is worn out.Possible burnt valves and worn rings.
