Question
hi i have a previa 1996 2.4 manuel trans i had the oil light come on so i changed the oil pressure switch but it was still on i was told the oil needed changing every 6000 miles so i changed that as i could not remember the last time it was changed but the oil light still won't go out is there something that i have missed or is there another problem

Answer
Are you driving with the oil light on?Firstly, the oil should be changed every 3000 miles. If the light does not go out,it is a loss of oil pressure possibly due to mechanical failure of the oil pump due to lack of maintenance. This would be a tow to a shop for further investigation and DO NOT START THE ENGINE.
