Question
Hi
My blinker switch rod broke. It no longer clicks up or down, so i can no longer use my left and right turn signals. It is still intact but I would like to know if this is something i can repair myself or is it more of a professional job? It's a 93 Oldsmobile Cutlass Ciera.
Thank You

Answer
If you have at least a Haynes Manual, a 'Steering Wheel Puller', and a 'Lockplate Tool', then you should be able to handle the replacement of the 'Turn Signal Switch' in your car. In all likelihood, you will have to know what Accessories your car has (i.e. Tilt Steering, Cruise Control, etc), in order to get the correct part.

According to the Autozone Online listing, this is the information for the part you need:

Duralast Part Number: SW809 Price:$49.99, listed at this URL:

Autozone may also carry the Haynes Manual that covers your vehicle.
