Question
i have a 2000 chevy S-10 . recently changed starter 3 days later altenator starts acting up . was going to change until the problem . just got in one day and no power i mean nothing at all no lights no horn nothing just like it do?  someone told maybe neutral switch i unplugged still the same took off new starter still the same . i cant hook up the battery afraid truck will burn down . so i have a test light and a little know how . please help ??? oh yea when i hook up battery charger the hand pegs out and shuts off the charger . so please help with anything thanks >>>>>>>>>>>

Answer
Something is wired incorrectly.Go back over what you did and look at it.This is not the safety switch.If you cannot find the fault,i suggest you take it to a shop or you will burn the loom with incorrect wiring.Haynes manual will show you the right way to wire everything.
