Automotive/2005 Mustang GT Throttle Body Issue

QuestionQUESTION: I get an error light and engine goes into "Failsafe Mode". Sometimes this happens and I get no response from the gas pedal at all. It's happening with something on the throttle body or ETC system. I've cleaned all the sensors and connectors, and I'm considering buying a throttle position sensor. Would you know anything that would be causing this? I'm trying to avoid buying a new throttle body and I'm pretty much at the end of my rope.
ANSWER: Error light i assume you mean check engine?Read the code before you replace anything.Let me know what the code is and we can go from there.

QUESTION: Sure thing. It pulled codes P2106, P2135, P2104, & P2111. I didn't get all of the text with the codes, but one said "Tach System Forced Idle". After it was flash the car would'nt idle and had no response form gas pedal again. Turn the key on and off four or five times and car operated normally. Thanks for any help you can give.
ANSWER: These are the tps failure codes so change the tps and it should be ok.Follow instructions on how to set the tps when you install it.

QUESTION: Took it to the dealer and they're telling me that the whole throttle body needs replacing. Saying that it didn't respond, yet they couldn't tell me exactly what wasn't responding. I suspect that they're just trying to get more money as he never said that they inspected the TPS. Would the PCM need to be updated after replacing the TPS?
AnswerThey are talking nonsense, you dont need a new throttle body. The tps is simple to replace but needs adjustment or the pcm will get false signals and cause bad idle or poor acceleration.Check this website"www.modded mustangs.com,It tells you all you need.
