Automotive/Power steering

Question
I have a 2005 Saturn Ion II and sometimes when I am running the car the power steering will randomly go out. If i start back up the car it resets itself and its as good as new. Lately it ahs benn getting more and more frequent and I have no idea what I could do to fix this problem. It seems like an electrical problem but I'm not sure. What can I try to do to fix the problem.

Thanks

Answer
This car has an electric motor on the steering column so its possibly the motor going out or the control module. It does not use power steering fluid or belts to drive a pump so it will need to be diagnosed by a saturn tech or qualified shop as it is electrical and the parts are expensive to replace.
