Automotive/noisy humming sound when turn car off due to air shocks

Question
I had my car repaired yesterday. It is a 2000 Chev Ventura van, and the back shocks had to be replaced.  When I turn off the car, there is still a loud humming noise coming from the back, which does go off when the door is opened, but it was never like this before, and the garage said it is normal with the air shocks, but I an not so sure.  Can you help me on this?  Much appreciated   Thank you.

Answer
The best thing to do is go to your local dealer and ask him if it is normal. If it is not,go back to the repair shop and have them fix it.I know some air shocks do hum and it is the pump in the rear but i wouldnt know about your car as i would have to look at the rear shock system to check for leaks.
