Question
Hi,  First when I put my car in park it would make a loud noise like I was pushing down hard on the accelerator, then it would rev and jerk.  Now it jerks when I am driving it.  Do you know why it may be doing this?  Help!

Answer
Have you checked the fluid level in the Transmission? Among whatever else is wrong with the Transmission, it may be low on fluid, indicating a leak, which a Transmission Repair Shop would have to fix.

If you don't know where the Dipstick for the Transmission is, and you have an Owner's Manual for your car, check it to find out where the Dipstick is. The level is checked with the vehicle in Park, and the Engine running, on level ground.

Should the Transmission Fluid not be low, but is brown or black, not pink or red in color, then you need to get your car to a Transmission Shop a.s.a.p.

The slipping out of Park issue, could be due to a worn Shift Cable, also something best left to a professional Shop to remove and replace.
