Question
i have a 1995 chevy monte carlo LS it keep runnin hot but before it was not but after the heater hose came off thats when my car started to run hot after it did that i dont kno what to do. I have two fans but they have not turn on snice i brought the car what should i do next plz help

Answer
If the Heater Hose didn't rip when it came off, get it back on the Fitting it came off of, once you've removed the Hose Clamp. Make sure to slide the Clamp over the Hose, and then slide it into place over the Fitting when reinstalling the Hose, then tighten the Clamp until the Hose Compresses a little. It is always better to not tighten the Clamp enough the first time out, versus over tightening it. Once you've topped of the Overflow Tank and Radiator, reinstall the Radiator Cap, Overflow Tank Cap, and restart the car, check for leaks. If nothing leaks, then you're good to go. If the Hose is leaking at the Clamp, gently tighten it some more, until the seepage stops. If the Hose tore when it came off, then you will need to get a new Hose, Clamps, and some Coolant. You will then need to remove the remains of the old Hose, and the old Clamps. Once the new Hose is installed, and the Clamps installed and tightened, refill the Radiator, and then the Radiator Overflow Tank with Coolant. I would also recommend getting a Haynes, or Chiltons Manual for your car, which will give you some guidance on how to install the new Hose.
