Question
I replace my starter everything else seem to be working but i still get a(click) when i try to start it. Could this be my ignition?  I don't know what else to do.  It is a Ford Explorer 1992. The battery is good and the wires have not be touched or missed with this happened on Friday. Saturday i changed the Starter it was bad when i took it in to get checked. What else could it be. I was asked if i had a alarm on it i do but it has been cut and just hanging around. could this be the problem.

Answer
If the vehicle started okay with the disconnected Alarm, I'd say it probably isn't the cause of yur problem. I'd also check, and clean ALL the connections between the Battery and the Starter, including any auxiliary Ground Strap connections. If your vehicle uses an external Starter Relay, as most older Ford products did, I'd try replacing it, as they do go bad. Any good Auto Parts Store ought to be able to look up your vehicle, and tell you if that part is a listed item for a 1992 Explorer.
