Question
QUESTION: Hi,just rebuilt my 1.8 Integra R engine, filled the cooling system, ran the car, then topped it up with coolant again. My problem is the fan is not kicking in,tried running the engine with no rad cap a few times not getting anymore bubbles but fan still isnt coming on.I dont think the thermostat is opening either because when engine heats up there's alot of coolant going into the reservoir bottle. Is there another way of bleeding the system or thermostat?

ANSWER: What year is this car? There are different procedures for different years.

QUESTION: Sorry it's a 98 Honda Integra R DC2

Answer
If your fan is not coming on,it may be the sensor is bad so make sure it is connected. Its also known as the fan switch. When you start the car turn the heater on full heat and wait until the heater is hot then fill up the coolant as there  may be air in the heater hoses. If the fan still does not work, test the fan and see if all the wiring is correct.Did you replace the thermostat? If you rebuilt the engine you should have.
