Automotive/ignition distributor

Question
We are having a problem with our s-10 chevy blazer. It is stalling out. We replaced the ignition coil and it started, stalled out and then restarted. We are not sure if the next step is to replace the ignition distributor. Can the distributor work intermittently or does it stop working completely? Do you have any other suggestions on how to troubleshoot this problem.

Thanks,

Kathy

Answer
If you push the gas pedal does the engine still run?If the ignition module/distributor fails, the car will not start at all.I would think this is another problem, possibly a vacuum leak.Look at all the vacuum hoses especially the intake,it would be a good idea to change the fuel filter also.
