Question
1991 toy camry 2.0 My car was running good. Had oil leaks. I changed valve cover gasket and dist o ring. Made mistake of not marking Dist. location. I put back together started but missing very bad. Adjusted dist until ran smooth , now started up and shut off, tried to restart but will only crank. Will not fire up.

Answer
Check first for spark.Remove one plug and insert in the plug wire then earth it to the head and crank the engine. If you get a good spark, look at your timing as it may be way off.Bring the crankshaft to number one cylinder tdc, then the rotor will be pointing to number one distributor tower for plug #1.You should be close enough at that and when the engine runs ,use a strobe light to set the timing properly.
