Automotive/2000 buick century serpentine belt

Question
This is a century custom, 3100 V6, 191 CID. The serpentine belt came off and I am trying to get it back on, but can not find a tention pulley. I loosened a pulley down near the bottom of the motor, but it had no tention on it, I mean to say that when I loosened it, it didn't give at all and will easily come off. I thought it would give but as I turned the nut it loosened just like a normal nut or bolt would, not like a tention pulley. Any help would be appreciated as I don't want to have to take this to the shop for something so simple.
                Thanks, Joe

Answer
All single serpentine belts have a tension pulley, otherwise they will come off. Some rare engines have a tensioner which is not self adjusting but your car has the self tension type. This engine will have a 15mm bolt which will turn clockwise to loosen(release tension) so try to turn it that way.Google the tensioner for your car and look at the picture of it.
