Automotive/starter keeps spinning

Question
I recently changed my 97 Nissan 2.4 auto transmission to a 94 manual transmission but now my starter just keeps spinning. What could be causing this? I bought new starters, 2 kind, and even had my original one that i thought would the right one, rebuilt. I have been troubled by this for a week. Thank you.

Answer
If you mean the starter does not engage, then there is a problem with the flywheel. There may be teeth missing or broken so you will need to look closely at it with a flashlight and turn it manually all the way to check the teeth.Im assuming the battery is fully charged and you have the correct amps to turn the starter.
