Question
I changed the plugs in my car and after the idol was slightly less than original. The problem is while driving the car it ran great except when I came to a stop then the idol went up and down for several seconds before settling @500 rpm. Is it the fuel pump, filter, or injector.

  As stated in my Profile, I'm a Parts Professional, NOT a tech but will tell you what I found out by calling a Professional Tech.
  They feel the IAC is the problem. He said you need to pull it off the intake and clean the passages that go to it. The IAC is what actually controls the idle speed. Since your vehicle is 16 years old, the passages that run to it may be getting clogged and need to be cleaned out.
  He said that once you pull the IAC off the intake, use a wire coat hanger or similar stiff metal to begin removing the carbon. He suggested using a vacuum cleaner to pull the debris OUT of the manifold and try not to let it fall IN the manifold. He said that once you get most of the carbon out, use carburetor cleaner and a brush to get the passages really clean.
  This is all I was able to come up with. He didn't think it was a fuel pump, filter or injector issue. I hope this helps but like I said, I'm NOT a Tech.
