Question
my taurus the heater does not work when the air is turned up. the blower works because the air works but heat will not comeut when air is turned on. but when its on the first level (low) heat comes out. what could be wrong

Answer
Check the coolant level first and if it is low the heater will not work.If the level is ok you may have a stuck thermostat. If this car has high mileage it is a good idea to change the thermostat anyway.Other possible cause is a blocked heater core or air in the system.
