Hi
Not sure if you are able to help, however, im having issues where i lose power and the engine management light comes on, car performs fine at speeds under 40 mph but when you start reaching 50 mph + it randomly loses power, you have to pull over then you can immediately pull away and be fine, as you are pulling over, if you keep the clutch pedal in the engine will stall, any ideas or help would be gratefully received,

Jim

Answer
Hi Jim!

We don't have Vauxhalls here in the U.S., so I can't tell you from experience any common problems with those cars that could be causing the problem. However, when the engine light comes on trouble codes are stored in the cars computer and will often reveal the source of the problem. For most cars you need a scan tool to retrieve those codes, but at least in this country, many major parts stores like AutoZone and Advance will check codes for free.
