Question
headlights go on and off at tines while driving. headlights are stock voltage. turning lights off with headlight switch has no a fect. happens on both low and high beams  1990 mercury couger ls

Answer
Hi Lawrence!

The problem is likely either in the headlight switch or a short in the wiring. You could try a 'wiggle test' all along the wiring harness and see if there's any change. Otherwise, you'll have to use a voltmeter and 'trace' the entire headlight circuit.
