Question
The very top of the coil spring snapped as i put the car in reverse the other day. At that time we could not figure what the popping sound was.  A few miles down the road the very top of the coil spring fell out.  What might of caused this? Possible defective spring?  I'm going to the dealer ship to try and fight this matter.  It would be greatly appreciated if i had some further knowledge on the subject before walking in there. Thank you.

Answer
If the car has been operated normally, that is,normal driving, there is no reason for the spring to snap as this is very uncommon on modern cars.Faulty spring but as for trying to get the dealer to replace it,unless the car is under warranty, you will have a hard time.
