Question
I have already changed the thermostat and the radiator cap but the temp guage keeps bouncing not quite overheating but not steady.  Any ideas

Answer
Perhaps your temp sensor is faulty or the gauge itself.Have the temp read with a digital reader which most shops will have. This will give you a proper reading and tell you if the parts are faulty or if the engine is actually getting too hot.If the heat is accurate, possibly the radiator is blocked or the water pump is going out.
