Question
OK its a 1998 Camaro,V6,rear wheel drive,5 speed and when i get into the car and start the engine and let idle there is a small whinning sound comming from the right rear of the vehicle. When im driving down the highway or just doing 45mph it gets louder and when i hit bumps it quits just for that instant. It could be the wheel but thats why im asking.

Answer
The noise is audible while not moving? If that's the case, I'd say it's Transmission related, and it may be telegraphing through the car body, causing you to think it's coming from the rear of the car. It could be a Clutch Release Bearing, or an Input Shaft Bearing then.
