Question
Sean,

I have found a 2001 BMW 325i with the Sport Package and manual transmission (83,000 miles) which I am considering purchasing.  The vehicle has no known problems and runs great.  My question is really about your opinion and experience with this vehicle's general reliability?  Are the amount of future repairs going to be worth it?  I have always done most of the work on my vehicles so routine repairs/replacements shouldn't be an issue.  Its just that I've seen people saying that its great and reliable as well as its always in the shop (and expensive).  There are always going to be issues with whatever vehicle you purchase.  I just prefer to be informed.  Thanks for your time!

Answer
This model is generally a good car but the parts can be expensive. The issues with this car can be brakes, thrust bushings, electrics, fuel pumps, bearings, suspension, but this is not a rule to all 325s.All models may be different and this one has only 80k so its a good investment.
